Central Bus Station or CBS (a.k.a. Talat Sao/ Morning Market/ Khua Din Bus Station)

Located near the city center, CBS serves as the main terminal for all
buses and minibuses running within Vientiane Capital and its surrounding
suburbs. It also serves as the terminal for international buses going to Udon
Thani, Nong Khai and Khon Kaen.
The current terminal is actually only a temporary one while the new terminal
is under construction.

Northern Bus Station (Domestic and International) (a.k.a. Northern Bus Terminal or NBT)

The Northern Bus Station, which is around 8 km from the city center, serves
as the main terminal for buses going to northern cities and provinces such as
Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng. Some international routes (which are not
operated by VCSBE) also operate from this terminal.
It can be reached from CBS and the city center by using the Route #08
(Northern Bus Station) city bus (Fare=5,000 kips).

Southern Bus Station (Domestic and International) (a.k.a. Southern Bus Terminal or SBT)

The Southern Bus Station serves as the main terminal for buses going
to southern provinces such as Savannakhet and Pakse, as well as international
routes to neighboring countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.
It can be reached from the Central Bus Station using Route #29
(Dongdok via SBT; Fare=3,000 kips) or Route #23 (Thangon via SBT; Fare=5,000
kips)

ITECC Bus Terminal

A full bus terminal in ITECC Mall is scheduled to start operations in
late 2017. It will serve as the terminal for the upcoming airport line and other
new bus routes.
Currently, ITECC also has a temporary terminal for ITECC EV buses. It
also serves as a temporary depot for buses donated by Kyoto City.
In the future, it is planned to become the main city bus terminal in
Vientiane Capital to clear up congestion around the Central Bus Station.
